Cheesemonger Willa Bauer, owner of Curds & Whey, has a lot on her plate. There’s a float to build for the fall festival, plus the cheese shop is hosting celebrity vegan chef Phoebe Winston. After photos surface that prove the chef is, in fact, a carnivore, she is murdered. Willa’s employee, the charming Archie, was the last one to see Phoebe alive and the first person the police suspect. To clear his name Willa must uncover who’s been up to no gouda.
This was an enjoyable installment to a cheese-filled cozy mystery series. Willa is a great sleuth who is smart and resourceful. The plot was exactly what you expect in a cozy: twists and turns with light suspense, and a happy ending. I want to read the next one in the series.
