Nancy Drew: Password to Larkspur Lane - 5 Stars!

People are seeing blue lights in the sky, and a carrier pigeon furnishes Nancy with a clue to a mysterious retreat. Can these two instances be connected? Nancy Drew is on the case!

This was one of my favorite Nancy Drew stories because it had action and suspense and at times left me at the edge of my seat. I will always recommend these stories to cozy mystery lovers of all ages.

Five Fortunate Girls!

Five FortunesFive Fortunes by Barbara Venkataraman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When five fourteen-year-old girls get their fortunes from an arcade machine just for kicks, it turns their world upside-down and their close-knit group of friends starts to fall apart. Misunderstandings abound as allegiances shift and outsiders start to come between them. The fortunes seem to be self-fulfilling prophecies - whether the girls believe in them or not.
This short story is an interesting tale about friends and their daily struggles to cope with the world around them. I think that this would’ve been a great full length story, but it needed to be fleshed out more. Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read this story. This review is my unbiased opinion.

Another Murder, She Wrote Mystery!

By the Time You Read This I'll Be Gone (Murder, She Wrote, #1)By the Time You Read This I'll Be Gone by Stephanie Kuehn
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This young adult cozy mystery is full of intrigue and suspense. But I felt that the character was too young for me to enjoy it. She was scared to do certain things that I thought could help her figure out the mystery faster. The solution to the mystery seemed to be a little out of left field. It wasn't what I suspected. Lastly, I wish there was more Jessica Fletcher in the story.

Nancy Drew and the Jewel Thieves!

The Mystery at Lilac Inn by Carolyn Keene

3 out of 5 Stars

Teenage detective Nancy Drew finds herself in danger when she sets out to track a jewel thief.

This was a good mystery for any vintage mystery lover to read. I love how Nancy Drew uses her smarts to get herself out of trouble. I felt this one was a bit slow in the pacing, though.

Nancy Drew and the Bungalow!

The Bungalow Mystery (Nancy Drew Mystery Stories, #3)The Bungalow Mystery by Carolyn Keene
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

While trying to help a friend out of a difficulty, Nancy has a perilous experience in and around a deserted bungalow. She needs to be brave and, on her toes, to solve the mystery.
I’ve always loved the Nancy Drew stories, but I haven’t read all of them, and this one was new to me. It’s a great mystery for the young and young at heart. I think I will continue to read this series.
