Annie Murray has opened a detective agency above her bookstore. Her first case is when June Munrow, a resident of Redwood Grove, comes to Annie and is convinced that Kelly Taylor’s recent drowning wasn't the accident everyone believes it to be. June is determined to prove there’s more to the story and hires the Novel Detectives to uncover the truth. Can Annie find the truth before she winds up in deep water? This was a great cozy mystery. Annie is a wonderful amateur sleuth who combines her intelligence, observations and charm to get to the truth behind the mystery. I like how she uses and works with the police when they are needed in a situation. The bookstore setting is one of my favorites and that is one of the many reasons that I will be reading more of the series. The plot was also very intriguing, and I was surprised at how the mystery was solved. Thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for this advanced reader's copy. This review is my honest opinion.
